New Zealand electronica artist Fis’ catalogue and live performances evidence an acutely personal, heartfelt and unapologetic exploration of sonic forms. Anchored by powerful, sub-heavy PA, his performances are energetic, dynamic, and physical narratives. Fis is coming to develop a live AV show together with Lunchmeat studio, based on their 2017 collaborative installation titled Henge (premiered at Signal Festival 2017). Inspired by paganism and Celtic and Slavic worship of the Sun and Earth, Henge is an intense light-sound study of space. It blends Lunchmeat’s long-time interests with Fis’ firm alignment with the natural world, and his dense electronic compositions inspired by a relationship between an individual and the environment.
